Hi all, I'm running Parallels Desktop 3.0 build 5582 on a MacBook Pro (OS X Tiger) Clipboard synchronization seems to be broken in that I can no longer paste to a VM (Windows XP). I can copy *from* the Windows guest OS to the host OS just fine, but when I try to copy text *to* the Windows OS, the clipboard contents are blanked out. i.e., if the Windows OS had clipboard contents before attempting to paste, the paste will remove those contents. What I am trying to copy with the clipboard synchronization are small text chunks, like a URL. This feature used to work fine for me, but not anymore. I would assume that it is a regression with the 5582 update. Restoring to an old snapshot (pre-5582) shows the same broken-clipboard symptoms. I've restarted the Mac, but that didn't fix it. Disabling and re-enabling clipboard synchronization in the Windows Parallels Tools settings didn't do it. I've also tried re-installing the Parallels Tools package on the gues OS, but that didn't help. My possibly-relevant VM settings are: Security: High Coherence: Disabled Is anybody else seeing this? Is there any workaround?
Ok, based on another thread, this looks like it may have been introduced with the Apple Security Update 2007-009
Hello, to overcome this issue you should install the latest build 5584. Do you have US/UK version or a localized one? Best regards, Stacey
I am running build 5582 on Mac 10.4.11 and still are unable to copy from OSX to Windows XP. Reverse works, as stated above. The suggested fixes throughout the forum do not work and seems to be a continually unresolved issue. Can you provide the solution?
Copy/Past from windows to mac or the other way around does not work I am running build 5584 on OS X 10.5.2. Still can't synchronize clip boards. Both of them operate separately for me. NO copying or pasting from windows to mac possible. Please advise. Thank you.
