I used the trial version of Parallels with my old Compaq's XP CD. I was able to run XP but I couldn't access any USB devices from Windows. I also trialed VMWare Fusion with the same results. Is it likely that the USB problems are due to using my old Compaq's XP disc? Will I need to shell out for another copy of Windows, or is there another solution? Thanks.
Point of information: Computer manufacturers add a file to the rescue copy of Operating system that they issue. (OEM windows xp with computer manufacturer company label on it = added file.) kat
It sounds like your Compaq disk has some things specific to their hardware configuration, it is probably the problem.
