Only 800*600 resolution ?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it isn't possible to run higher resolutions than 800*600. I configured higher resolutions for the VM but they are completely ignored. I also increased memory and video memory for the vm - no effect.

Hardware:
iMac
Intel Core 2 Duo
2.4 GHz
4 GB

trying to run a Windows XP on that.

Would appreciate any help

just drag the corner of the Mac OS window containing parallels to the size you want

That doesn't work. The Mac OS window gets larger but the XP inside doesn't scale. It's now surrounded by a black frame.

 

Did you set the screen resolution in the Parallels preferences, XP display preferences or both?

 

After setting the screen resolution in XP too everything works fine now ;-)
