    Hi Everyone:

I've been opening files on the Mac drive from Windows on XP under parallels and opening the same files on the Mac side. These files are for an application known as JMP (runs on both Mac and Windows).

The problem is that I can't execute particular files on the Mac or Windows side any more.

On the Windows side, it says it can't find the file - but it's clearly there and I even double clicked on them.

I can't see any issue with them as far as privileges are concerned.

Anyone else have anything like this? If so, what can I do about it??

Thanks so very much in advance.

Hi Stacey: Build 5582 and this happened under Mac OS X.4.9 (I think - it was definitely before X.5.2, which I have currently installed - and I'm still having problems with it.

Is there a remedy for this situation?

By the way, I've been trying to download the update - the download is really slow - and seems to stall before getting all the way there.

    Thanks, Stacey

    Hello,

did you try to re-install Parallels Tools?
Did you try to install MacFuse?

    Best regards,
    Stacey

I've reinstalled parallels tools - many times. I've never heard of MacFuse.
The problem is that, in some way, the folder on the Mac side which I accessed from both Mac and Windows (via Parallels) appears to somehow be corrupted. Any file that can be executed located in that folder will not run. if I take the file out of that folder and put it elsewhere, it runs.

    Any ideas?

Did you try to create a new shared folder and observe if the problem persists?

    Best regards,
    Stacey
