Is it possible to upgrade my VM which now runs XP Pro SP2 to Vista Ultimate through the VM interface. Is it theoretically a matter of inserting the DVD for Vista while running my XP VM and following the installation instructions?

I am on a MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4GB RAM and 160GB HD
Just installed Leopard 10.5.2 last night without any issues. All is well.

As it turns out, the upgrade started but said I needed a special hardware to continue. I quit the upgrade and installed Vista Ultimate from scratch as a new VM It works fine. It's faster than my old XP install and more stable too.
