My Macbook Pro 2.2GHZ 4GB Ram is running well with Leopard, Parallels and Vista (all with latest versions/patches installed). Since Parallels doesnt completely support Vista (no Aero interface, no battery meter, no isight camera etc) I'd like to install with Boot Camp too.

Is there an easy way to install Boot Camp so that it utilizes the existing Vista install and Parallels image? I'm less concerned about needing to reactivate Windows and more concerned with using additional diskspace (since Parallels already allocates 30GB for its image) and having to reinstall all the Windows programs.

    Hello,

theoretically, it could be done by using third-parties application like Acronis True Image. But we did not test it, so we could not guarantee the result.
The easiest way, I think, is to create Boot Camp partition, install Windows there, transfer all necessary documents from your VM, delete the VM and then create a new VM using your Boot Camp partition.

    Best regards,

Thanks for the suggestion. However, the approach you recommend requires that all Windows applications be reinstalled. For any OS that's a major hassle. Is there another way? How would Acronis help?

    Hello,

as far as I know, by the means of Acronis it is possible to create an image of your OS with all programs installed and use it when configuring another OS.

    Best regards,
