I know I can save snapshots of disks that I can later revert back to, and I have done so. However, I'd like to take a snapshot of my working system as it is today and store that on offline media (external hard drive, or my file server for example). Is there a way to do that? Basically I want to make a one-time backup image of my Parallels environment. -Chris
Just copy the .hdd file that your VM uses to the external or file server. Works like a charm. It is best if you shut down Parallels before doing the copying, but I have successfully restored from back-ups made while Parallels is running, I wouldn't count on it though.
