Today I migrated from a Time Machine backup of an original MacBook that was successfully running XP in 3.0 (Build 5584). I tried starting up Parallels and it's telling me I need to reinstall XP.

I was under the impression that the setup could be migrated. Is there some work around to move XP over to the MacBook Air?

    You can try reinstalling parallels.

Did you put the map Parallels from "applications" and "documents" back?

Normally the virtual drive (winxp.hdd) is located in the map documents.

Migration Assistant was supposed to transfer all apps, settings and documents from the old MacBook to the MB Air -- coming from a Time Machine backup. For whatever reason, it didn't move over any songs/pictures from iTunes/iPhoto.

Except for a few registrations that had to be re-done. All apps migrated well. Seem to be missing documents.

Am hoping it will be better if I migrate from a SuperDuper clone instead of a TM backup. Will have to reinstall the OS -- waiting for an ethernet adapter to arrive to do that.

    Any other advice?
