I was updating my Palm Treo with my Windows XP instance in Parallels for Mac. While that was running I was surfing the internet. A MAC OS X dialog popped up, telling me that Parallels Desktop had suddenly died. I filled out the information and clicked on the "Report it" button. I redid the steps and it died again. I synchronize my Palm with my Parallels Desktop instance via USB connection. This did not happen before I installed Build 5584.

    Bug Report logs

As you requested, I am attached the log files. They are in a file named archive.zip. There are two log files, one from the crash that I had this afternoon (syncing to my Palm Treo 650 after updating a bunch of things in the Agendus application by Iambic) and one from a recent crash (while performing the same thing, I believe).

    Hello,

please try to do the following:
    1. In menubar click 'Parallels Desktop' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Memory' tab
    set memory to 768.
    2. In 'Configuration Editor' of your VM' ('Edit' -> 'Virtual Machine')
-> 'Memory' tab set memory to 768.
    Will it help?

    Best regards,
    Stacey

    Hi Stacey,

I tried your recommended changes, but it would not let me make the VM Memory 768 unless I make the Parallels Desktop->Memory 868. So, I made the Parallels Desktop->Memory 868 and the VM->Memory 768. This made Parallels not die. However, it still gives me the dialogue that "ParallelsToolsC.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart this program. An error log is being created." Which is covered under a different thread that I submitted. I will post this reply there as well.

So, I guess that we are making progress.

    Thanks,

    RHendrey :)
