About the time I installed Build 5584 on my Mac Pro, I also upgraded to Java 1.6_04. Now NetBeans will not start. The frame comes up, and it dies. I found a Java log (once) saying that Java crashed. So I reverted to 1.6_03. Same thing. I unintsalled and reinstalled NetBeans. No luck. I just tried NB 6.1. It crashes too. I am thinking that the problem is Parallels. I am running XP Pro. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas? Thanks, Jim Rome
I think he is saying, it is not working in his windows environment. I would say it is something in your windows, Its working correctly for me. Have you tried downloading the entire java machine and reinstalling it, also have you tried to rename your .netbeans hidden directory to start from scratch in netbeans with new default values?
I tried that I killed my three . netbeans directories after the uninstall. And I reinstalled Java 1.6_03 and pointed NetBeans 6.1 to that with no luck. If Java crashes, it is supposed to make a file in the NetBeans/bin directory. I do not see one. There are no errors in the NetBeans logs either. Thanks, Jim
Can you run some other Java program by pointing them to your 1.6_03 version? Just to make sure this portion is ok?
