I've got some strange behavior with Parallels when I attach USB devices to my Macbook. I'm running an XP guest, and I have the USB device in the VM settings set to "Connect to Mac OS X". What happens when I plug in (for instance) my iPod is, I get the dialog asking me whether I would like to connect it to the Windows VM or not, and Parallels's CPU usage goes to 100% or so.

It does connect to OS X while the dialog waits for me to click something. Still, it's a number of extra clicks, and the fans often come on before I remember about the VM. Is this a bug?

PS. Sorry Mods. I managed to stick this in the Windows/Linux Workstation area instead of OS X.

    Hello,

please, try to set the option "Ask me what to do" for the USB controller in the Configuration Editor, reboot the VM, then, revert the option to that "Connect to Mac OS X", reboot again. Will the message still appear?
If yes, please, try to remove USB Controller tab from the Configuration Wditor of the VM, start Windows, delete the driver for that USB device (iPod), then shut the VM down, open Configuration Editor again, press "Add" button and add the usb controller.
