i am using Chrome as browser and macbook pro. unable to download audio and video from youtube channel. Please instruct.
I am having the same issue with Safari. This started about 5 days ago. We need a technician from Paralells to advise
It's been a few days and I'm not able to download audio from YouTube. I don't know what happened. Please, advice and try to fix that guys. I use Parallels just for this. Thanking you in advance. Best, Dave.
I don't know what the keyword or trick is to get technical support to join these threads. As it appears they generally don't do so until requested. Very frustrating as the "community" serves to solve their problems for them at no cost. Welcome to capitalism.
I am having the same issue. It is usually resolved when an update is released, but has not been done so yet. Let's hope they are working on it.
Also same issue: inability to download YouTube videos. Not using any browser, just using Parallels Toolbox Version 7.1.0 (5405) on macOS Sequoia 15.7 (24G222). No videos from YouTube can be downloaded. They all fail with the message "Failed to get the video. This video service may not be supported." Does anyone from Parallels monitor this forum?
Hi Parallels Support, (if you read this?) - Do you know if there is a fix for this issue? The front page advert for the parallels tool shows it downloading form youtube, and it issued to work, but no longer... Please acknowledge that you know and are or are not working on it. Please.
Parallels tool's video download cant download any youtube video's any longer. This includes videos I had previosuly been able to download from youtube before. It seems Youtube has chanced something that broke your products functionality.
Here's what tech support says, and it isn't good news: Hello, Thank you for your reply. It seems that YouTube has blocked download requests. However, you will notice that you will be able to download video from other website, for example Microsoft training videos. Please rest assured that it is not a Toolbox issue. We appreciate your time and comprehension. We remain at your disposal for any further query. Have a good day! Regards I'm resorting to https://yt2mp3.gs/ which works fine if you don't mind their NSFW pop-up ads. They've been around forever.
It looks like YouTube downloads are a thing of the past with Parallels, and by what this looks like, they've given up trying. Boo.
It seems parallels has sunset support for YouTube. You may want to try 4K Downloader [.com]. I have been running it in a isolated VM (from my home) and it seems to work well. It even gets the audio that Parallels use to miss (newer codecs). Of corse whatever you decide to use make sure to get it from the original creator, or it will most likely be malware ladden. Best of luck to all...
