Can't download video or audio from youtube. Downloading videos works everywhere except youtube. I use shadowsocks vpn on my router because i need this for work. Don't tell me to turn it off. macbook air m3 macOS 15.0.1 parallels toolbox 7.0
Hi topdollar, While this might not be ideal for you, have you attempted turining it off first and initiating a download? Did it work?
Same is happening to me ever since YouTube is asking to sign-in to be able watch videos. And I'm using EXACTLY the same setup as I was using a few months ago when I was able to do download videos with no problem. You need to provide an update to this or else I'm cancelling my subscription. Thanks, Alex
It looks like this is due to recent changes on YouTube, not in Parallels Toolbox itself. Many download tools are currently having trouble with YouTube extraction. Your Shadowsocks VPN is probably not the main cause, as other sites work fine. Try updating Parallels Toolbox to latest version clearing Toolbox cache/temp files trying with a different YouTube video checking if YouTube downloads work without browser extensions interfering Hopefully Parallels will have a fix out soon.
