Download Video from Youtube - language issue

Hello,
When downloading a French video from Youtube, the english audio track version (probably AI translated by YT) is downloaded instead of the original French version.
A configuration issue or a bug?

I am having the same problem with the wrong language, except I am getting German audio instead of English.

 

I have the same issue: wrong language. Getting German instead of English. This was not a problem in older versions, but v7 (Toolbox for Mac: Download Video) takes the English audio from YouTube videos and changes it to German.

 

I am also having this issue. The videos won't download in English.

 

Seems that the problem is originated by the download client location (parallels toolbox download video app backend).
Using a VPN (OS level, country netherlands) solved the issue!

 

I am experiencing this issue, and I do not have access to a VPN.... does anyone know of other work-arounds for this issue? Thanks!

 

I tried adding ?hl=en and ?gl=ca to the url, but it doesn't help. There needs to be a language setting option in the Download Video and Download Audio apps!

 

This usually happens when YouTube auto-selects the default audio track, which can be the AI-translated English version. It's not really a bug, more of a behavior change on YouTube's side.

Try forcing the original language by specifying the audio track, or check if there's an option like "original audio" / "preferred language."
