Hi, pretty new RAS Admin here. Just updated to version 20.2 from version 19 and not quite sure if this is something related to that, but it seems that I am not able to use the Disable Logons from the RD Session host management anymore. It says that "cannot change because... server's group policy". But I checked that the policy is in "Not configured" state. I also checked this kb https://kb.parallels.com/130953/ And that asks to delete the key: fDenyTSConnections from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services but there is no such key. I did find that this key does exist in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server Didn't get the chance to test if deleting the key from here helps, but just something I am wondering about. Will update once I can test this.
I had that error earlier and I had the key. Once deleted in my template and re-apply to my target VM it work.
If Disable logons is not working, it's usually due to one of these reasons: Policy not applied to the correct OU Conflicting GPO overriding the setting Using the wrong option (e.g., Deny log on locally vs Deny log on through RDP) Group Policy not refreshed or user already logged in Cached credentials allowing access Quick check: Run gpresult /r or rsop.msc, then log off/reboot and test again. https://www.qualitcert.com/best-or-top-iso-certification-consulting-company-in-bangalore/ If it still fails, verify the logon type and where the policy is applied.
