a permanent license for Parallels Desktop for Mac,

My Mac is installed with version 17. However, when I enter the license code for version 17, it still requires me to provide the activation key for version 16. After I enter it, I am prompted each time with the message: "The old activation key has not been accepted by the license server yet."

Okay, it looks like your license server isn't connecting your upgrade from version 16 to 17 correctly. Usually, Parallels support needs to fix this by re-syncing your old key on their side. Your keys should be okay.
