When installing O365 with shared computer activation on Parallels RAS (configured for published application scenario), the user can't log in to activate Office
This situation clearly limits the use of Parallels RAS as an alternative to other virtualization platforms that support this basic feature.
The workaround suggested by Parallels, which is to enable the "Use RemoteApp if available" option, is not the solution, as it introduces a series of limitations to RAS's functionality that practically approximate it to Microsoft's native solution (Remote Desktop).
Solving this problem is essential, assuming that most people using Parallels RAS for application sharing are likely to use Microsoft Office 365.

    Hi,

Can you verify that, when using a published desktop, the approval works? if so, have you tried to add the 'runexplorer' parameter to the published app documented here?

Yes, within a desktop it works perfectly without any issues. The parameter indicated in KB 129169 (-runexplorer) does not work at all. This problem was analyzed by Parallels support, and what was possible to do was to "circumvent" the problem so that Office 365 could work in some way, that is, by enabling the option "use remote app if available".
