About six months ago I reported a critical design flaw to phone support. Nothing was done about it, and today it bit me. In Clipboard History, if you click Clear History... the *default!* option is Delete All. I explained to support that "Keep Favorites" should be the default, because in case of a wrong click data would not be destroyed. As this bug continued to be ignored, I found myself hoping that at the very least, mistakenly clicking Delete All would present a confirmation button, allowing a last-minute reprieve. Alas, today I discovered a second critical usability bug: When you click Delete All, the deed is done, whether intentional or not. I find the very presence of these two violations of basic UI design to be deplorable -- but ignoring a report of the dangers is simply unconscionable. I happen to have a second MacBook whose clipboard history was still intact, so I attempted to find the file holding the Favorites, but to no avail. I was able to recover most of my favorites by copying them one-by-one from the intact history and pasting them into a document on the damaged MacBook using the shared Apple clipboard. I got lucky. If I hadn't had the second computer, I would not have been able to recover my data. THIS MUST BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY!
