Unable to activate older version of Parallels Desktop

However, after updating my Mac OS, even though Parallels was installed, their servers wouldn't allow me to enter my product key. Support simply responded that my version was too old -- even though I'm still on an old laptop with an old Mac OS.

 

Sounds frustrating--especially since you have a valid license. That "check your internet connection" error often points to Parallels' older activation servers being offline or deprecated, even if they say it's not blocked. You might try offline activation or contacting support with a direct license file request, but options are sadly limited for legacy versions.

Same problem for activating an old Legacy 8 license, we got a message to send the key to an e-mail that is sadly refusing any incoming mail. here the text:
Dear Sirs,
we are re-activating an old license on a Mac pro 2.1 machine, could you please provide the corresponding activation code?
