The issue is when we set the OS display scale at 200% on UHD displays, as the 3840x2160 resolution is not detected. The list goes from 2560x1600 and steps to 4096x2160, missing 3840x2160, so it resets to a lower one. If go to VM config, set to Scaled, then again to Full, then the 3840x2160 is restored and detected again, until the next guest OS boot then it resets again as described.

This issue should be solved as full UHD resolution is required for working to get text clarity.

    Parallels version 18.

Hello from the future. I'm experiencing this same issue, except there doesn't seem to be any way to get the native 4k resolution at all, no matter what settings I toggle.

I'm on Version 20.2.2 (55879) and using the trial before purchasing, but this is a dealbreaker.
