I have a MacBook Air (2020) M1 model with 16gb ram and 1TB storage. I've installed Parallels Desktop 17 for Mac with the intention of using it primarily for video games, specifically Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5. Installing Windows 10, the Epic Games Launcher as well as Kingdom Hearts was perfectly fine, but when I try to launch the game, the game window opens for a fraction of a second and immediately closes, leaving me back on the Epic Games Launcher window. This happens every time I try to launch the game, no matter how many times I verify the game or restart Parallels. As far as I know, my Mac is more than capable of running this game according to the System Requirements page, and other games I've installed work perfectly fine as well, so I'm trying to figure out why the game window keeps closing. Could it be a problem with Parallels Desktop? And if so, how do I fix this problem? Or could it be a problem with Epic Games itself? Any help or assistance would be much appreciated.
Hi, plese follow the steps given below to check on your issue: - Reinstall Parallels Tools, please refer to https://kb.parallels.com/115835 - Change hypervisor to Parallels (ignore if it is already selected as "Parallels"), please refer to the article https://kb.parallels.com/125186 - Update Windows OS: open Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and see your update status and available updates. Then click Check for updates - change virtual machine profile to "Gaming" in Parallels Desktop, please refer to the article https://kb.parallels.com/124264 - If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the game
I also tried playing the coin master game on my Mac with the parallel app. But it didn't worked so well. I used to login to the FB and the game starts. But now it doesn't load up. Is there any update from the game's side or is it an issue with the parallel?
I'm trying to get the Kingdom Hearts games to run too, it's the only thing preventing me from getting the full version of parallels since other VMs or Crossover/Wine isn't helping either.
It sounds like you may be experiencing compatibility issues between Parallels Desktop, Windows 10, and the game Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5. This could be due to various factors, such as virtual machine settings, graphics drivers, or software conflicts.
It could be a compatibility issue with Parallels since not all games play nicely with virtualization, especially Windows on ARM. You might have better luck switching to Windows 11, tweaking the graphics settings in Parallels, or checking if Epic Games has any known issues. Hope you get it working soon! In the meantime, if you are into strategy games, Orion Star App runs great on different platforms and could be a fun option while you troubleshoot.
