Hey, I don't know if anyone was listening, but suddenly with the new Parallels Standard Edition Version 20.2.0 (55872) update today, suddenly I can see my iPhone again with the Windows drivers. Thanks! Don't know if that was intentional awareness, but this is a huge unblocker for me.

    Hello,
We would normally recommend switching to Parallels Desktop Standard but since you might not be able to do so due to Company policies, you can use the following workaroud:

    1. If you are trying to create a new Linux virtual machine and are not able to or it fails you can set the number of Processors of the virtual machine to 1 and then proceed with the installation or update.
    2. To do that, you can Right-click on the Parallels Desktop icon in the dock > Control Center > Click on the Settings/Gear icon under the virtual machine name > Hardware > CPU and Memory > Change to manual > Set Processors/CPU to 1 > Boot the virtual machine andit should then complete the installation or pending update.

    Kind Regards

Performance is smooth, and the integration with macOS feels seamless. I appreciate how easy it is to run Windows apps alongside my Mac software.

Apple M3 Pro, Win 11. Despite having 'shared connection' for network device, the VM constantly loses internet connectivity even when in the background while the mac side is being used (ie so no macbook sleep issues triggering it). I have to re-select the (already showing selected) shared connection on the devices menu to reconnect internet access to the VM. Seems to be happening every few hours.

Hello, Good day! I would like to seek your assistance and guidance. I recently upgraded one of our mac vm (virtual) to mac os sequoia 15.2 version and we have parallel desktop ver 20.2.0 (55872) installed on the host. I have encountered an error wherein I can't login to my apple ID in the virtual VM. Thank you!

i am trying to instal the parallel app on a new mac with M4 chip. Used migration assistant intially, after I downloaded the 20 version, (tried with automatic installer also) and each time the app stays stuck on and gives me the rainbow loading icon witch means i cannot do anything.

any idea how to solve this? is it worked on? do you have a fixing date? did i miss a post on this topic here?

    Hello Parallel Desktop,

It has been days and we haven't heard anything from your end and this impacted our production servers. We have managed to update the macOS host to 15.3 as advised to your Knowledgebase links below and yet we are experiencing the same issue wherein we cannot login to the Apple account and signing xCode account.
As mentioned on the link https://kb.parallels.com/130167 about the xCode account, macOS Sequoia 15 as a virtual machine > # 3: Currently, this behavior is expected to be an Apple framework limitation. Do we have an update on this?

I've been using Parallels Desktop on my Mac with the Apple M4 chip for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. The performance is smooth, and I've been able to seamlessly run Windows applications alongside macOS with no noticeable lag. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the experience has really impressed me. It reminds me of when I first started my business and had to figure out how to integrate different tools and systems efficiently. If you're looking for more ways to optimize your setup or want to see how I applied similar solutions to my work, check out some of the projects I've worked on here: SE YARD Solutions. Would love to hear how others are getting along with Parallels on their Macs!

I have an issue with both the ubuntu and debian images used by parallels (as well as the original OS iso images) in that when I use docker on the machine it looses network connectivity after some time. The time seems random but it has always occured within a week of starting the VM. When i run "ip -br a" the network interface has no loner an ip address. The IP address is set statically and not via DHCP so I am not sure how it can be lost. Running if-up enp0s5 brings it back for a while.
Have anyone else seen this or even better have a solution for it?

    Regression in linux containers dpkg

After the most recent software update, I am no longer able build containers or install several packages in my Ubuntu VM. This was fixed, then with the latest roll out it's broken again. I don't see any way in Parallels to revert to a prior version or even see what version i'm on?

I cannot create virtual machines with my version 19 perpetual license on my new macbookpro with M4 chip... it is not fair to customers who have licenses of that type to buy another one again due to a tool development error. In my case I have two licenses and I bought the 19 license in September of last year.

    Don't waste your time;
I tried several times for several weeks, explaining that this is not an issue with the new macos (which it's per parallels' policy what it's not supported and when you should update to a new parallels version) but the processor M4.
I owen (like you) 2 licenses 19, one installed on a macbook pro M3 Pro and the other on a mac mini M4 pro both running macos 15; the one on my mbkp works (currently) perfectly fine, the other was not working; hence, what is parallels solution? update to version 20
This company doesn't care about their loyal customers but just money; really sad

for the records, this is the "official answer for this issue from parallels:
    " Install Parallels Desktop 20.
    Parallels Desktop 19
or below aren't officially supported for running on Mac computers with macOS 15 as the main system, and M4 Macs have macOS 15 preinstalled. Thus, you might experience some issues running your virtual machine's in previous versions of Parallels Desktop.
3 Linux virtual machines experience random crashes while installing.
    "
This is not accurate, macos 15 works perfectly fine on parallels 19 with any previous processor to the M4

Mac mini M4pro / Parallels Desktop 18 install success & complete run but Win11 install Fail ‼️

If the plan was to stop supporting users with previous perpetual licenses, shouldn't version 18 have been completely un-installable? On my Mac Mini M4 Pro, the installation and execution work fine, but only the Windows installation is failing. It's quite a funny situation when you look at it.

I can't deny the technical skill here. However, when I purchased the genuine version of 18, it was a significant investment for me. Thankfully, it runs well on my MacBook Air M2. The funny situation is that I'm transitioning from my main computer to the Mac Mini, and now this has happened.

VMware works fine, but it's not as flexible for moving between Mac and Windows as Parallels, so for someone like me who needs to bring over programs from Windows, it's quite frustrating.
