My apologies if this is the wrong thread. Please move it to its proper place if necessary. I'm a complete newb with regard to all things MacOS. I'm trying to help someone get Parallels Desktop 19 for Mac Version 19.3.0 (54924) running on their MacBook Air (Sonoma 14.3.1) with an M1 chip. It seems like this type of error has happened in the past with previous versions of MacOS and Parallels but I cannot find anything relating these versions. Here's the problem: upon starting the Parallels app a pop-up states "To start "Windows 11", please restart your Mac first. It has not been restarted after the Parallels Hypervisor System Extension was allowed." I've restarted and shut down multiple times but this error message continues to pop-up. Any suggestions would be most welcome!
Get the same for past week, on Monterey. If I close pop-up and then again click the VM on the Control Center to start, it opens ok. But the pop-up is annoying, and I have restarted many times and it does not go away.
getting exactly same pop-up after upgrading parallels to newest version, trying to launch existing Win10 VM from older Paral version. same symptoms - rebooting does not help. System extensions shows Hypervisor active - tried with all different possibilities in Win10 Config setup - pop-up remains. Anyone any ideas. Mac OS 15.1, M1 max CPU
