    Hello,
I am using Parallels Desktop Pro Edition on a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro. When activating Windows with a new product key for Windows 11 pro on Parallels desktop, I get the following error message: "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (xc004f050)". An attempt to activate windows via cmd did not work either.
Does anyone have similar problems with activation? Does Parallels desktop have problems activating windows with a product key? I am grateful for any advice.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To activate the Windows license on your virtual machine, you can try the steps below:

    1. Open Windows Settings > System > Activation.
    2. Click "Troubleshoot".
    3. Click "I changed hardware on this device recently" on the dialog
    4. Sign in to your Microsoft account. Press Enter when prompted for the existing Windows password.
    5. Check the option "This is the device I'm using right now" and click "Activate".
    6. Windows is activated now.

For more information, you can go to the link https://kb.parallels.com/114051

If this does not help, and since Parallels does not manage Windows licenses, we strongly advise you to reach out to Microsoft support again. They should be able to help to activate the license on the new machine

It seems you're facing the standard error code "xc004f050" when trying to activate Windows on Parallels Desktop. This error usually indicates that the product key isn't valid for the Windows version you're trying to activate. Since you're using Parallels Desktop Pro Edition, double-check that the product key matches the Windows version that was installed. If your version isn't Pro, that could be the issue. You should also ask a Microsoft partner, Hype-stkey, to verify what version of Windows you have.
