Hi All, I'm unable to sign in to my Apple ID during the installation of macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 that was initiated from the Recovery Partition image, with it saying "An unknown error occurred". The host is also running Sequoia 15.0.1 on a MacBook Pro 2018 with Intel chipset. I'm currently running a free trial of the Desktop app v20 and had intended to buy it if the VM worked. I've read similar posts about the same sign-in error but these seem to only be applicable to Apple Silicon Macs. Should it work ok on Intel Macs or is this a known issue as well? Thanks, Paul.
Just following up to see if anyone can help confirm whether signing in to my Apple iCloud account should work ok with an Intel host please?
I have exactly the same, both my iCloud and App Store id won't work (Verification failed) on several id I have. However I can log in to iCloud via Safari so it's not the id, I suspect it's the ports used by iCloud (TCP 443 for authentication and possibly UDP port 5355). I've tried several routes to get to Sequoia from migrating upwards to a fresh install and also base 15.1 and beta 2 of 15.2 and all have the same issue. I use senate ids for App Store and iCloud and neither will sign in.
Update: it's a known restriction, you can't login until parallels update the app (or Apple remove the restriction) - see https://kb.parallels.com/en/130233
