Like when printing through the Virtual Printer, it triggers a download of a PDF. I was wondering if it is possible to download a file through an API call from an application. Ultimately, we need to download 4" wide receipt in PDF format which doesn't seems to be possible with the virtual printer.
On the Parallels Secure Workspace virtual machine, we receive a print job. So this "print data" gets converted into a PDF. The Virtual Printer that is visible in sessions, uses the Microsoft Print to PDF driver; or it can alternatively use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer Driver. If those drivers support your format, it might be possible. As for downloading a file: There is currently no API call to do this. Feel free to create support tickets for both cases through your my.parallels.com account so we can log feature requests for this.
