I can print from the mac. I get a windows "new hardware found". I go to print and nothing happens. No errors. Print does not appear in the queue.

When I look at available printers in Parallels I do not see my HP Laserjet 4L listed. I see a network printer I have at work and just default printer. So I do default printer.

When I plug in the printer I get "do you want parallels to see this printer". I select yes.

I then manually install the printer because its not detected by Windows. The printer appears with a check next to it.

right now when I look in parallels I see 3 printers available. I am guessing it is taking those out of installed printers on my mac.

I click on one them. It is a network printer that I connect to with bonjour on my mac. I have installed bonjour on windows and it does not find any printers.

I then try to connect to a printer since the printer is connected to my mac remotely and it is not found.

When I am at home, I have an HP Laser Jet that is connected through USB to my mac. I can print from my mac. When I go to print in my Windows VM, nothing happens. Does not even go to the queue.

    Hello Guess2,

Did you add the printer to your Virtual Machine Configuration?

    Best regards,

I have a printer icon at the bottom of my screen. I see 4 available printers. two of each of my printers. one is a samsung printer which we use bonjour to find and one is a printer I connect through USB at home.

it is listed as connected and enabled.

When I look in my windows icons under printers, I see a check mark next to whatever printer is active.

I go to print and nothing happens.

Please set HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS as default printer in Windows and set the printer you wish to print from on the Mac side as default printer. Will this change anything?

    Best regards,
    Xenos

HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS is a generic driver used for printing from the Virtual Machine to any Mac OS compatible printer.

So, you can print from VM now?

    Best regards,
