    Hi,
After initiating the Parallels for Mac install, Windows 11 does not load up. See the attached screenshot. I have a Mac with M1 Pro chip.
    Thanks for any guidance.

    Regards,
    AJ

Ok, so the issue could have been the restrictions applied through the IT group within my organization which was preventing a direct install of Windows 11.
Thankfully the technical rep from Parallels (Only got his first name as Joel) was able to share this Win 11ARM 22H2 EN-US.ISO file which allowed an alternative path to download Windows 11 on my Mac M1 Pro. The Windows 11 seems to be working for me now.
Thank you all for your efforts to help resolve this issue. Hopefully this .ISO file can help the rest of you too that are struggling to instal Windows 11 through Parallels.

Are you trying to install from an ISO from uupdump.net? If so, you need to install Windows from the Parallels main screen before you attempt to upgrade to Windows 11. There is no operating system on the ISO. If you're trying to install from the main Parallels start-up window, you should be able to install Win11 with the defaults and then change any configuration settings afterwards. The Windows version that Parallels installs is directly from Microsoft so there should be no problem installing.

Thanks for your response, but no I am just downloading as suggested in the instructions. Not going through the ISO route. Once Windows 11 installs the screenshot I shared appears and then I don't know what to do.
I also tried to install the macOS as an alternative virtual desktop and then tried installing windows 11 through there but that too gave me an error message. Attaching the screenshot here for this 2nd attempt.

Normally (at least in my experience so far) when you go to the Bios page (your first screenshot) it seems to mean there is no system installed. Are you running Parallels version 19? When you start Parallels, select File/New are you electing to install Windows from the first screen? That's the screen with "Get Windows from Microsoft" on the left. Have you installed Windows 11 before? The reason I ask is that I installed Win11 on my 2020 MacBook Pro M1 before.

In my first attempt, I did exactly that where I installed the Win11 by selecting the icon of Windows and then it downloads it but doesn't boot up and then displays that Bios page. I have a 2021 M1 Pro Macbook.

The only time I've run into that problem is when I have attempted to install Windows from either the VHDX file or an ISO generated from uupdump.net. Neither of those two methods contain the actual operating system, they merely give you an update path. If you have the time, you might want to go to the Parallels directory in your folder on your Mac (Users/<your name>/Parallels), delete any .PVM files in that directory that are Windows related and try a clean install from the Parallels main screen. That way you're starting fresh. This is definitely a problem I've never seen before and I've been using VM software for a number of years. (Incidentally, how much memory is installed in your MBP? Shouldn't really matter, but ... )

Ok, so tried that also. I get the following message (See screenshot below).
At this point it would be best for some tech support from Parallels to have a zoom call to see what is going on. Not sure who to contact.
Thanks for all the efforts though.

    Regards,
    Anjaneya

I agree that there should be some help from Parallels but ... anyway, if nothing else, I'm persistent. When do you get the above message and what .ISO file is it looking for? On the second Parallels install screen, it asks if you're installing from an .ISO and then asks you to either drag and drop it or hang around while it searches for the file. Try opening Parallels and selecting File/New and then select Get Windows 11 from Microsoft. Click on Continue then select Install Windows. What happens after that?

I ran into the same issue. Following File/New and then slelect Get Windows 11 from Microsoft->Continue->Install Windows. Parallels starts to download an image. After download, it just launch the virtual machine and pop the message window above "Cannot connect Unattended.ios to CD/DVD 2". And everything stops.

I found a workaround after some digging. The download ESD files can not be convert to ISO file and everything got deleted and stopped. If you really want to workaround this here is what I did.
    1. Follow the Parallels install windows procedure and leave it to download the image. Usually takes minutes even hours depends on your internet speed.
    2. While it is downloading, open a terminal app and navigate to ~/Library/Parallels/Downloads. You should see a temporary file there while downloading.
    3. Once the download is finished, you need to copy that esd file to another folder, for instance, ~/Download. You only have few seconds window to run this command. Once Parallels starts to process it, it will be failed and removed.
    4. After copy that file, you need to convert it to ISO. You can find the tool under /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS. The command is /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_esd2iso ~/Download/what_ever_file.esd /tmp/what_ever_file.iso. I found this command complains when you use ~/Download/what_ever_file.iso. You need to give a full path. I choose /tmp to make things easily. (maybe this is why the process failed)
    5. now you have the ISO to install you windows 11.
