I am running OS X 10.5.1 with Parallel's 5582. When I started it today I received an error message saying that my Parallel Tools was not consistent or up to date or somehting to that effect. I ran an installer, it said it was happy and I closed XP, quit Parallel, and rebooted OS X. When XP boots however, the Network Connection shows and error and has only limited connectivity. The properties button shows a Physical Address, an IP Address, a Subnet Mask, but no enteries for Default Gateway, DNS Server or WINS Server Ideas??? I am happy to reinstall something, if that is the solution, but what???
Hello, please open Configuration Editor of your VM (Edit -> Virtual Machine), select 'Network Adapter' tab and please tell me what type of Network Connection do you have there. Best regards, Stacey
What type of networking are you using? Shared or Bridged? What are your TCP/IP settings in your network adapter?
I went to the Devices menu and changed the network adaptor to the wireless Ethernet and now things work. Apparently that selection didn't persist through the upgrade. ... I don't have anything connected to the other ports and a have an open wireless connection so I would have expected it to at least try on its own.
It is working. On the Devices there are check marks on Connect and en1. Neither Host nor Shared are selected
