To clarify, Microsoft does not officially support Parallels. This lack of endorsement is evident in the absence of a virtualization layer in Parallels for Mac, specifically nested virtualization. Consequently, Windows ARM on Parallels for Mac does not facilitate the Windows Subsystem for Android. This subsystem is the mechanism that enables the execution of Android applications from the Amazon Appstore on Windows. This limitation also obstructs the alternative method of operating Google Play on Windows.

While Microsoft has authorized the use of the application, it does not imply comprehensive support. Consequently, Microsoft's involvement in ensuring complete functionality of the application is limited. This distinction is evident in the ARM version of Windows 11, which lacks several features present in the standard Windows 11 operating system. This is due to the fact that these features are not fully supported in the ARM architecture.

Hopefully with the advent release of the Co-Pilot+AI laptops coming out from DELL, etc it will get more Arm64 driver updates as system use snapdragon CPUs which are ARM64 based

DirectX 12 came out in 2015, features for DirectX 13 are currently being discussed by Microsoft. Unless Parallels can get at least DirectX 12 to work properly I fear the days of playing Windows games or running serious Windows apps on a Mac are numbered.

I don't understand how the VM interfaces with MacOS, but my new Mac Mini M4 is blazingly fast with Blender in MacOS 9as an example), but the virtual graphics card is worse than my 2017 iMac when using Autodesk Inventor 2025 with large assemblies in Parallels 20, and forces me to use software acceleration. I was really disappointed at the performance. Is there no way to at least convert between DirectX 11 commands and Metal commands for an emulated graphics card that Windows/Autodesk recognize?
