Hi guys I'm a new user. I have parallels installed and windows. I haven't been using parallels for a couple days and I can switch back and forth but is there a way to suspend parallels until I need to use it and windows again so it doesn't just waste my Macs resources?

    thanks in advance
    Brian

You can either close the whole parallels app (ideal if not being used) or you can simply suspend the active VM (windows) and minimize parallels to the tray.

You can have Parallels suspend Windows when you are not using it after a specified period of time. If you open the settings for your Windows VM by clicking on the gear icon on your VM in Control Center, you can check and adjust the Pause Setting under the Options section as shown below. The default is 30 seconds of inactivity.
