Recently I noticed that connection to Youtube was getting a connection refused on all YT videos I tried to download. I tried both the app and the Safari extension. It cannot download from Rumble also with connection refused. I tried it on Vimeo also and it worked on 2 out of 3. The error may have started with most recent OS update Model Name: Mac mini Model Identifier: Macmini9,1 Model Number: Z12N000G0LL/A Chip: Apple M1 Memory: 16 GB OS Ventura 13.5 Parallels Toolbox Version 6.5.0 (4706) Thanks for any insight
Okay, I am also having this problem and submitted a Messenger support request. What I have: Sonoma Beta on M1 iMac. What I have tried to solve this: I verified that the extension is enabled in Safari (I was using it well until 2 weeks ago). I cleared the extension's cache...no dice. I deleted the prefs file...no dice I removed and redownloaded, installing Parallels Toolbox again and restarted Safari. Extension is now missing, and now the whole video downloader fails to work. Before it was just the extension. I want the older version.
i'm not able to download too, this happens from time to time when YouTube or others sites change something and it effects the downloader. Here is what they usually tell us to supply them to help fix the issue: "please provide us with link to video on youtube? Also you need to generate technical report (open Toolbox --> press on cogwheel button --> Help --> Send Technical Data), send it and post it's ID here. Sometimes youtube changes the way how video/audio is stored. We need to look at the video link and your report to understand what can be done here".
I am having the same issue over the past week. Sometimes the video downloads in a few seconds and when I look in downloads it's size is 'Zero bytes'. Other times it starts to download and then shows an error. Was working find until a few days ago.
TECH REPORT ID 433159924 I DID AS YOU STATED ABOVE Used this video as example Noticed with this one it downloaded a 0k file which is different than refused.
thanks man that should do it, they're usually really good about fixing it for us in a timely manner. I'm surprised they haven't commented in this thread yet, tho.
Same here. I have tried reinstalling Parallels Toolbox and cleaned up everything I could - no way to download any video that is longer than a minute or so. Unless this feature is enabled, I see no reason to pay a subscription for Parallels Tools, because video download is the most important thing for me.
I'm having the same problem with the Video Download tool on various Mac versions . Has anyone opened a ticket?
Hello. We're aware of this eventuality and are currently working on correcting it as soon as possible. There will be no action required from your end, the video download will resume working as intended in the nearest future. Stay tuned!
The situation last more than two days already. It is unacceptable. I already turn off the auto renewal of my subscription
Also waiting for the fix. Please reply and provide information for the update. It has been over a week now.
they are working on it... they say here... https://forum.parallels.com/threads/download-video-stopped-working.359779/page-3#post-919321
