Unable to install Parallels Desktop 18

    Just purchased Parallels Desktop 18 for my M1 Macbook Pro and the install keeps crashing. It happens so fast I cant see any error message. Tried disabling my AV and rebooted several times. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the Technical report.

    Please note that as per the report, Sophos antivirus is still running.

    Please uninstall it completely instead of disabling it. Once done, please try to installParallels Desktop again.

    Hello,
    For us to further investigate this issue, we require a technical report.
    Kindly follow the below steps to provide us with the technical report:
    1. Restart your M1 MacBook Pro.
    2. Download Parallels Desktop 18.3.1 from the below link:
    https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v18/18.3.1-53614/ParallelsDesktop-18.3.1-53614.dmg
    3. Double-click on the downloaded DMG file, mount to it into Finder.
    4. Launch Terminal ( Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
    5. Execute the following command:
    /Volumes/Parallels\ Desktop\ 18/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prlsrvctl problem-report --send --stand-alone
    6. Wait for the Technical Report to be generated.
    7. Reply us back with 9-digit Technical Report ID.
