    Hi

I am new to all this and was wondering if anyone could help with a MAC system issue. I need the parallel desktop to run some programs in Windows, however I can't load the new trial version of PD 3 as it requires at least Mac 10.4 when I only have 10.3 - is there any way around this???

I have looked and there are older versions of PD available that support my Mac version - however I can't find out how to download them and whenever I search the internet for other Virtual windows or Parallel desktop it alsos bounces back to SWsoft and the PD 3 which is no use to me.

    Thanks

    Hello,

what type of Mac are you using? Is it an Intel-based Mac?

    Best regards,

    Not sure

    Hi

Thanks for replying,I am not sure if it is Intel Based - all I know is that it is PowerBook5,6 PowerPC G4 (1.2). How do I check whether or not it's intelbased?

    Thanks

You've just told us - you have a PowerBook G4, not a MacBook/MacBook Pro Intel.

You need to have an Intel-based computer to run Parallels.

To run Windows on your G4 PowerBook, you need Virtual PC or GuestPC, something like that.
