Do they add a tax on pricing for other countries outside of the US ?

I don't know if they add a tax on the pricing, I recently wanted to buy the program for $99 . Which at the time was, with my country's exchange rate was about R1683 but when I tried going through the pay wall it gives me a pricing of R2853.68 ???

Is this because of a hidden tax they add? or am I just confused on something?
If someone could assist it would be appreciated.
