Windows 10 is Painfully slow since the last update

Discussion in 'General Questions' started by Parallels User, Sep 15, 2022.

  1. Windows 10 ids Painfully slow since the last update. I have Parallels for one reason; to run Media Monkey 4. For some reason MM4 started taking a long time to load and then when I would synch music to my new iPhone 13, a 300 song playlist would take 90 minutes to synch where before iPhone 1`3 it took about 5 minutes to synch. I have exhausted trying to correct this through Media Monkey and now think it is Parallels because for some reason about 2 weeks ago, MM4 started synching fast again. Then I get a Parallels update and now not only is MM4 taking forever to synch again, windows is not recognizing my old WD external hard drives I use to Backup MM4 files. It has taken me a year to narrow this issue down to Parallels Windows 10.

Please, Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, since last Parallel updates, the use of excel in Windows 10 is such slow that I'cant use it anymore ..
I want just scroll in my Xls sheet, and the reaction is interrupted (not fluid) , so it's to difficult to work with Excel (VM Windows 10)...
I had no problems before de Parallel recent updates..

Hi all, hope this will help....

I shut my windows 10 vm down, and changed the parallels configuration. Windows 10 on Mac Pro 16" (2019)

Old Configuration (unsure why this was the settings, seems odd that I had it set this way but whatever):
    Processors - 2
    Ram - 4GB

    New Configuration
    Processors - 4
    Ram - 8GB

What a difference! Old setup was slow and almost unusable. With this configuration, my machine is back to being snappy. What a relief !
