I have a MacBook Pro running Mac OSX 10.4.10. I've been running Parallels 3.0 since October and I've been pleased with it so far. As one of the artists developing the free-ware RTS game 0 A.D. (www.wildfiregames.com/0ad), I realized that I needed to be able to run Windows for testing purposes. It took some time to get TortoiseSVN to gather all the necessary files correctly, but I eventually got it to run perfectly. I recently purchased a copy of Rome:Total War Gold Edition (with the Barbarians Expansion included) and I installed DirectX 10. Installation was flawless, however I ran across the following errors when I tried to run it. The logo in the menu was blocked out and the mouse was nowhere to be found. When I tried to hit esc to exit the program, the yes/no buttons also came up white, so I had to hit F11 and Quit the application via my dock.
Hello, fbronner is right, for now, Parallels doesn't support DirectX9.0. We're working on this and hope that it will be added in future versions. Best regards, Alicia.
Hi again. I recently upgraded to Mac OSX Leopard and I was wondering if there's some sort of update I should be getting for compatibility. Also, what's the word on a version that supports DirectX 9 and up?
