I've got my Windows XP CD in the drive when trying to install but I always get this message:

    Boot from hard drive... FAILED.
    Boot from CD/DVD-ROM drive... FAILED.
    Boot from floppy drive...
    Non-System or disk error
Repace and press any key when ready

This happens regardless of what order they're set to boot in or what IDE value they each have, I've tried that.

I've also tried, after searching around a bit, creating a disk image of my CD, I've made one in both dmg and iso form and that message still persists. Thank you!

    EDIT: I'm on OS X Tiger 10.4.10

    Hello,

did you try to start this CD on another computer? May be there is a problem with a disk?

    Best regards,

Can you tell us where did you got your windows CD? Did it come in a Microsoft package or was it bundled OEM with a machine you bought?

Some time ago, the windows CD was made by copying files from your bought desktop, and a lot of people made those copies but did not make those CD's bootable (did not read the instructions explaining how). If this happened to you, I suggest getting a windows XP OEM CD, and make sure it is SP2.
