With Bootcamp beta due to expire in Tiger, what are the implications?

Will the Bootcamp partition no longer be bootable for the computer?

Can the Bootcamp partition still be used under Parallels? Or does it become entirely unuseable?

I can't upgrade to Leopard at this time owing to several incompatible apps, so I would appreciate any accurate info on what will be required.

    Thanks in advance,

As far as I know, BootCamp will still work, you just can't add or remove partitions with the BootCamp utility without changing your clock. Unless Apple chooses a rather despicable ploy and writes a file to your system.

The reason why it would still work is because the Firmware allows the booting into a Windows machine, and you are actually running Windows natively off of a partition (think running Linux and Windows on the same machine).

Thanks, I'm hoping that's the case. I was worried that the Parallels partition might self-destruct or become unuseable after the expiration (end of Dec., last I heard).

Does anyone from the Parallels team have definitive knowledge of this issue?

    Thanks,
