The latest beta (5570) still does not resolve my CDROM issue. That issue is that the CDROM drive on my MacPro cannot be used _at all_ in parallels. When configuring a VM the only option un-grayed for the CD device is to use an image file. It is not possible to select the other choice of using the real CDROM. If I try and use a VM created prior to leopard (where the CDROM did work) the config will show the option to use a real CDROM as checked but still grayed out. Launching such a VM results in a error from parallels that it cannot open the CDROM. Ideas? Also, is it so that nobody else anywhere experiences this issue? I'd have expected people to be screaming up and down that they cannot use actual CDROMs in windows. That people aren't leads me to believe that this must be unique to my system? -J
Hello. Could you please specify: 1. Your Mac type. 2. Your CD drive type (USB/SCSI etc.) After that please open Terminal and type: cd Desktop ioreg -b -l -w0 >> ioregDump.txt ioregDump.txt file will appear at your Mac desktop. Please send this log to [email protected] with subject "ioregdump for Archy". Thank you.
