We bought the disc and tried to install it. It asked us which application we wanted to run it with and we clicked mac word but this program was expired. Since then, whenever we try to click the icon for "install parallel" it doesn't do anything. Desperate please help!!!!??!!!

    Hello,

please tell me where do you click "Install Parallels".
Did you try to change file-association in "Get Info" menu of file, you want to run?

    Best regards,
    Stacey

    Hi Stacey,

We put the parallels disc in, we clicked on the icon and it opened up to 5 things to do - "install parallels", "uninstall parallels", "Notes" and 2 others. We clicked "install parallels" but the problem persists. I didn't change file-association in "Get info" menu. Please, please explain, I'm new to this.

    Hello,

may be there is a problem with your Mac OS installer. Try to install any other program and see if the installation begins.

    Best regards,
    Stacey

    Hi Stacy,

I went to the place I bought the mac from and they suggested I re-install osx and I did. It worked. thanks for your time and concern.

    Hello,
I purchased parallels and have no problems now with running windows. It seems now the printer I am using is not working. It is not a printer that I can use in Mac since it is "a driver for windows printing device" I've read the threads on the "Bonjour" progam but one of the things you must do is make sure the printer is printing on the mac side. This printer is not compatible with mac. Please tell me what to do.!!! Please.
    Thank you,
    Lisa

    trouble installing printer

    Hey Stacey,

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'm so glad you asked. Its actually not a printer - its a "Bren Pro 515" stencil cutter. The folks over there say they intentionally made this cutter not Mac compatible :)0. The install cd for the driver wouldn't even open up to the "Install New Hardware" screen that the manual said it would open up to. I was able to install all the other programs to parallel windows except for the USB buslink cable to the cutter.

    Please help me, please

    Hi Stacey,

Its actually not a printer. It is a "Bren Pro 515" Stencil cutter. I put the cd that came with the usb buslink cable but it won't even open up to the "install new wizard" screen. Everytime I go to send something to the cutter it either reads error or it looks as though its sending but nothing comes out. Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

    Highlyfavoredls,
does your Stencil cutter use USB port?
If so, please use article "Setting Up a USB Printer".

    Trouble printing from parallels windows.

    Hi Stacey,

I did as you directed. Now when I plug in the usb into the port I get this message, "The printer is being used by another application" What do I do now. I've searched the forum but haven't found any remedy for this.

    Please help me!
    Thank You,
    Lisa
