    Hello.
I run Parallels Desktop 17 on an M1 2020 MacBook Pro with Windows 11 installed. If I purchased a Windows 11 Pro licence key from Microsoft, would I be able to use it to activate the virtual machine?

I installed Win 11 Pro on my MacBook Pro 16 using the technique here: https://forum.parallels.com/threads/how-to-install-windows-11-retail-version.355463/

I bought a Win 10 Pro key (yes, Win 10. I couldn't see how to buy a win 11 key from Microsoft's store) from : Buy Windows 10 Pro for Business - Microsoft

I used the key to activate the image just fine.

I don't want to give a blanket 'yes, sure' without knowing where your Win11 came from. If you have the Windows Insider preview version, you may want to look at the link above for getting the release version which doesn't have some of the restrictions the Insider version does.

Ok, thanks to both responses. I think I'll give it a go anyway. I've just changed to a retail ARM64 install from uupdump.net, which might work better.
