I'd like to have each user of my machine have full access to Windows Vista and the default installation doesnt seem to allow this. As per another thread here, I moved the entire ../documents/parallels/*.* to /Users/Shared/parallels/*.*. I altered RW permissions of the .PVS and ./HDD files to allow 'Others' read/write privileges.

However, upon starting PDM I get the following error "Unable to lock out configuration file for /Users/Shared/Parallels/Microsoft Windows Vista.pvs

Any ideas? What is the appropriate way to install PDM so that all users of a machine can have full access?

Mac OS X 10.4.11, PDM 5160, 4GB RAM, Windows Vista Ultimate (w all latest updates)

    thanks

    hi.

seems PD couldn't create lock file at VM home directory. It's necessary to give permissions for Others on this directory too.
