Since upgrading Parallels 3.0 from the previous build to build 5160, my medical learning CD does not work anymore because it breaks the copy protection scheme. Very annoying, since it does render Parallels useless for me. Will this be fixed again - or do other solutions work better in this context? BootCamp works, but is not as convenient as I cannot copy/paste to Mac OS X. TIA Marc Here is the protection scheme (original disk) Scanning -> D:\GK1neu\Mediscript.exe File Type : Exe, Size : 3183892 (0309514h) Bytes -> File has 668174 (0A320Eh) bytes of appended data starting at offset 0266306h [!] Protect DiSC v7.5 - v7.6 (or newer) detected ! [!] exact version: Protect DiSC v7.5.0 Build 60904 ! [!] protection level: Basic - Scan Took : 1.968 Seconds
upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5.1 solves the issue After upgrading Mac OS X to version 10.5.1 the copy protected CD works again in Parallels. Thanks, Apple
