I'm running a Mojave VM in Parallels Pro 16 on a Mac with Big Sur.
I spend most of my time in Big Sur, but have some Word files that I need the option of opening in the VM.
Is there an easy way to automate launching Parallels and having it open the desired Word file?
    Thank you.

Hi, you can make your Windows virtual machine always ready in background in virtual machine configurations -> Options -> startup and shut down

Please let us know if it's not that case

    Hi Maria,
Thank you, but your answer totally ignored my question.
I'm using a Mac VM, not Windows.
I am looking for a way to open a file from my regular (non-VM) finder and having it automatically open in the Mac VM
