No input after switching to PD space

I run PD in full screen in its own space.
Lately (past month or so?) it seems that when i return to that space PD no longer accepts input from the mouse or keyboard. I can't click on, type in or interact with the VM.
The only thing I've noticed that allows me to work again is to exit full screen (which doesn't resize the VM's resolution). Suspend the VM and then resume it. Once it's resumed the resolution resizes and I can again click on and type in the VM.

Parallels Desktop 16.1.0 (48950)
MacBook Pro 16"
Attached to external monitor, using external keyboard and mouse.
Detatching external monitor and using built-in keyboard and trackpad does not have an effect.

 

Hello, once you put your VM in a full screen mode please check the external keyboard connection to your VM (at the Devices menu).
