If i enable the share bluetooth from the VM configuration, it finds the phone but then certain functionality within windows 10 app "your phone" is broken. I wanted to bypass MAC and just allow the device "bluetooth" to discover the phone. Can this be done? how? I am able to see other bluetooth devices but not my phone. The phone is a Samsung Note 9.
Hi, what is your Parallels Desktop version? Does your VM "see" your phone? What kind of functionality would you like to use?
Hello Maria, I just downloaded the parallels version 16. I am using Microsoft "your phone companion" app. If i remove the feature to "share bluetooth devices with windows" from within the parallel software, the vm will not see the phone. If I enable it, it pairs under mac and then is passed down to windows. On the Microsoft app itself, some feature works. The feature I need is the ability to see the "phone screen" which error out with code 42. I tried the same on my surface and it works flawlessly so there is no issues with the wifi network. While reading some info on some Microsoft sites, this feature relies on wifi to make the connection. although i have the VM set as wifi rather than shared network, it displays sort of a wired connection on the VM rather than the Wifi logo.
Thank you for your detailed response. May I ask you for a screenshot of the error message? Also are you able to use any external devices (except your phone) on your VM side?
