I need to be able to back up several specific output files from programs running on my Win10 running under Parallels 15. I would like to automatically share a file when I save it on the WIN10 machine to the Mac OS X Shared folder so the Mac OS X Backup program will pick it up duroinmg backup, regardless of if the WIN10 machine is active or not. Thanks

Hi, could you please clarify, how would you like to share your file? Did you enable the shared folders option?

Thanks. I did enable the Shared Folders in Config/Options but it implied that it was for sharing from Mac to Windows, and not the other way around. Under the Share Windows option in setting there was no option that made sense for reciprocal sharing. I am running Quicken for Win on my Parallels VM and want my data file with current info available to the Mac OS X environment so my BackBlaze backs it up to the cloud.

If you have shared folder and shared profile enabled, then whatever files you save in "Windows Desktop", "Documents", "Downloads" will be saved directly on the Mac "Desktop", "Documents" and "Downloads". If the files are on the Mac side then it will be backed up by your Mac cloud storage application. You have to make sure the folder in which you save these outputs from Windows apps are on these shared locations. You can refer to this article and blog for more details.
