    Hi,

I just installed windows10, there is a local user present - But parallels wants to login with this local user all the time, so i get invalid password.

I have now added into the parallels windows10 my MS address, but each time parallels starts the windows 10 instance, it tries to login as the local user.
I can't find a way to remove the local user - when I do login to windows as my MS account admin user - there are no local users to remove

    Anyone got any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

I had exactly the same problem. This worked for me:

1 - start the application netplwiz
2 - uncheck the box to automatically log in
    3 - hit ok, restart
4 - go back into netplwiz and retick automatically log in

    Job done.

    Craig.

    Backup registry.
Change the following registry entries to remove the "ghost" profile logon.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultUserName = blank
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\AutoAdminLogon = 0
    Reboot.
