    Hello,

I recently used Parallels Desktop 15.1.3 on new MacBook Air 2020 Core i5 model but often get the following "Firmware communication error" Kernel Panic during OS restart.

    The Kernel log says:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f86b93b81): "[IGPU] sendHostToGucMessage: Firmware communication error: no action response!\n"@icl/sched3/IGGuC.cpp:3599
    and
    last loaded kext at 118046637758679: >usb.IOUSBHostHIDDevice 1.2 (addr 0xffffff7f869d8000, size 45056)
    last unloaded kext at 115740327450193: com.parallels.kext.hypervisor 15.1.3 47255 (addr 0xffffff7f86ac3000, size 196608)

Has anyone experienced the same error?

This happens almost always after high CPU load of Finder.
I clean installed macOS 10.15.4 using recovery option.

    Thanks,

    tyskey

Hello, I have recently Installed Parallels on my 2018 Mac Mini - but have uninstalled since my Firmware communication error started appearing.
Is it possible Parallels has left some faulty files is my system that causes iOS to crash?
    Thank you.

    SL

    Hi Maria,
Like I said, I have uninstalled Prallels from my Mac, and am no longer using it.
How else can I provide the information you need. My feeling is, the Parallels left some trace files that cause my Mac to malfunction and create catastrophic shutdowns (not prompted cut-to-black - as if someone pulled the power plug, but then upon auto-startup the report gets produced - which i included in the previous message)
    Thank you
    SL
